Some will almost certainly continue to work at Nintendo, although we know that others, like good old Sakurai, will prefer to retire..

But almost certainly none of them will remain at Nintendo by the time the next console, the Switch’s successor, arrives sometime in the middle of the next decade (barring a surprise).

What will be the last game exclusive to the Nintendo Switch? There are very possible names, such as Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (January 2025) or Metroid Prime 4 Beyond (2025, no date)but we can’t rule out a surprise from Nintendo.
