“TOGETHER REACTIVATING CALLE BORIES” SEEKS TO PROMOTE THE MAIN COMMERCIAL AXE OF PUNTA ARENAS

The event will take place on Saturday, February 11 from 3:00 p.m. between the streets of Croatia and
Ignacio Carrera Pinto.

The activity aims to revitalize Bories street and is part of the “Recover
your Neighborhood Zone Zero of Sercotec”.

Punta Arenas, January 30, 2023. Sercotec Magallanes continues to launch various
initiatives that help reactivate and promote different strategic sectors of Punta
sands. One of them is the program “Recover your neighborhood, Ground Zero”, which has as its
objective of recovering the competitiveness of commercial districts affected by actions
derived from the social outbreak and promote its inclusive and sustainable development. Part of the
beneficiaries of the recovery plan is the Bories Shopping Center with 17 stores
attached.

Within the framework of this program, “Together reactivating Bories Street” will be held, an event that invites
the community to be protagonists of the reactivation of social, gastronomic,
commercial and cultural street Gobernador Carlos Bories. The activity will take place on
Saturday, February 11 from 3:00 p.m. in the center of Punta Arenas between
Croatia and Ignacio Carrera Pinto streets.

The family party will have a stage with live music and tribute bands to Luis Miguel,
Dua Lipa and 31 Minutes. In addition, there will be inflatable games, a 360° camera, corporeal, a contest
cosplay, storyteller, chessboard, circus performer, face painting, illustrators, award
best costume and best declaration. Public services will also be present with
stand to serve the community and will have the participation of Carabineros, PDI,
Army, Public Security Coordination, Field Government, Injuv, Illustrious Municipality
of Punta Arenas, Ministry of Energy, Sercotec, IND and Inach. In addition to organizations
such as Tolkien Society, Circus of the South, Juan Wesley Foundation, Tango Club, Clown
Powder, among others.

The director(s) of Sercotec Magallanes, Natasha Alarcón highlights that “This Program is
is framed within the Government Plan of President Gabriel Boric, which seeks
promote and strengthen small and medium-sized companies that were affected by the
social outbreak and then by the pandemic, with the aim of economically reactivating
these merchants and improve their environment, with other lines of action of this program with
which will benefit in aspects of security and improvement of facades”
Both Sercotec and the tenants of the Bories Shopping Center hope to have the same
success they had for the Christmas event where the busiest streets of the
city ​​paused to receive thousands of pedestrians and families to reactivate the
Bories street trade.
