Hansi Flick is already one step away from becoming Barca’s new coach for the next two seasons. Both Sky Germany and the newspaper Bild, very close to the coach’s circle, confirm that this Monday in Barcelona the coach will sign a contract with the Blaugrana club for two seasons. Flick is already planning to move in immediately and will be unveiled at the end of the week.

The agreement with Flick was signed last week at a summit they held with sporting director Deco in London and his agent Pini Zahavi. Deco had previously spoken with the German coach about the ups and downs of the new sports project and an absolute consensus was reached, so the financial agreement was completed, which is very beneficial for Barça.

Flick accepted a guaranteed two-year contract with a base salary lower than Xavi Hernandez and with a much smaller coaching staff. The formula involves a smaller flat bet, but with high bonuses for achieving titles. Flick’s desire to train at Barca and his belief that the project would work played a key role in reaching this agreement.

Flick wants to familiarize himself with the possibilities of the Blaugrana club, as well as discuss all the details of pre-season training, during which the team will return to the United States. His presence will also be key to the final decisions regarding the transfer market, especially regarding the withdrawals that will be made in the coming weeks.

Barça promised Flick that the club would move to the 1-1 rule so that players could register normally. It was also clear that investment would be limited unless sales amounted to millions of dollars. And this is an aspect that we want to delve into soon, as Flick is open to selling some starting players to maneuver in the corporations.
