Twins Emily Blunt and Lenny Kravitz in a cut-out jumpsuit: “Who wore it best?”
fashion
This is a fashion confrontation.
Emily Blunt admits that when it comes to competing with Lenny Kravitz, the “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over” singer always comes out on top.
The 40-year-old “Oppenheimer” actress appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” Thursday night wearing a familiar tuxedo-style jumpsuit.
Showcasing the open back of David Koma’s bold design, Blunt said she saw Kravitz in an almost identical style on the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet a few days earlier – and decided to stick with her look anyway.
“Who wore it better?” the actress asked Colbert’s audience as the host showed a photo of the rocker from Sunday’s awards show.
“So I saw him strutting across the floor at the Golden Globes.” I had already pre-planned this for your show and I was like, ‘You know what, no, I’m still going to wear this,'” she explained.
“There’s something about Lenny Kravitz… it’s like when he walks into a room, it’s like a bus runs over somebody’s coolness, you know? It just turns into steam.”
Colbert agreed, joking: “Do you know how cool Lenny Kravitz is? “He makes the name Lenny sound cool.”
While Kravitz, 59, may have won the fashion argument, he ultimately lost the best original song category, for which his song “Road to Freedom” was nominated, to Billie Eilish for her Barbie ballad “What’s For I was created.” ?
Blunt also left the Golden Globes empty-handed, losing the Best Supporting Actress category to The Leftovers star Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
The awards ceremony was a tumultuous one for the British star, with Rich Kid Beverly Hills star Morgan Stewart criticizing Blunt’s floaty Alexander McQueen dress and calling husband John Krasinski’s two-tone Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo “ridiculously bad.”

And a clip of the couple, who share two daughters together, went viral as fans tried to read red Krasinski’s lips during a conversation with his wife.
Some thought the 44-year-old “Office” star said he “can’t wait to get a divorce,” while others believed the actor actually said he “can’t wait to get home.”
Although neither of them denied the rumors, Blunt attended the Governor’s Awards ceremony the following evening alone.
A source told Us Weekly that TikTokers were wrong when they said, “There’s no problem with Emily and John. “They don’t talk about divorce at all.”
The source added: “They think the rumors are funny and ridiculous.”
