In fact, it looks like they will be connected: the game’s website said that it has included an unpublished mission called “Treasure Hunt” that will tie into the sequel’s plot. delving into Jade’s childhood.
The reward for the mission will be cosmetics, as well as the opportunity to see the connection between Jade and the sequel… which is actually a prequel set before her birth.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be a prequel without Jade, or so it is assumed.
This gives us something to think about. When Beyond Good & Evil 2 was announced at E3 2017 and 2018, they explained that it was an open world game set in a vast solar system.
We’ll be able to travel between planets (which Star Wars Outlaws, also from Ubisoft, already does), but the surprising thing is that it’s a prequel set a generation before Jade, so it won’t be released.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 continues to break records as the game that will take the longest to release since its announcement, but it’s good news that Ubisoft is so firm and protective that the game is still in development… although no one knows when it will be will come out.
