Recently, Sherman Todd, Director of Product Management for YouTube Shorts, published a post on the official YouTube blog in which he reveals the main news that will appear in short videos of the big G streaming platform.
So the big improvement to YouTube Shorts is that: From October 15, it will be possible to upload short videos up to 3 minutes long.. As Todd explains, this change “applies to videos with a square aspect ratio or higher” and will not affect videos uploaded before this date.
But that’s not all: YouTube Shorts now has templates so you can recreate the video you like in a very simple way. In fact, to access these templates, you just need to enter the short video you like and click the button Remix and click on the option Use this template create a similar video.
Additionally, at the end of the year, Google will bring Veo, Google Deepmind’s model for video creation, to YouTube Shorts, allowing content creators create both clips with even more unusual video backgrounds and individual video clips..
Other minor news coming to YouTube Shorts very soon: new Shorts comment preview, accessible from the Shorts feed. and a new option “Show fewer short videos” which, as the name suggests, will allow Fewer short videos are showing on the YouTube homepage..
