Valencia reunites with Andres Guardado
He Valencia faces in the early hours of this Sunday, October 13th, Mexican national team. A special match in which the presence of the former Valencia player stands out. Andres Guardado.
Corporate Director of the Club –Javier Solis– both a legend and the leader of the first men’s team –Voro Gonzalez– The former Valencia player was given a personalized T-shirt with his name and number “18”.
“This is special. It’s always nice to see the people I was with during my time at Valencia. I have made lifelong friends and this team has opened doors for me and I am so grateful. “Valencia is an amazing city and I wish them to return to the positions they deserve and become the Valencia we all know,” says Guardado.
The midfielder from Guadalajara arrived at Valencia in May 2012 under Mauricio Pellegrino as coach. Guardado, in addition to playing as a midfielder, also contributed to the team as a left back. In his first season as a Valencia player, he scored 1 goal and provided 6 assists in 50 games. He spent his second season with Miroslav Djukic on the bench. With the Serbian coach, Guardado played 24 matches and gave 1 assist. In the winter market, he went on loan until the end of the season to Bayer Leverkusen. After this and before the start of the 2014/15 LALIGA season, he went on loan to PSV Eindhoven.
