According to Carlos Trespalacios, it was not the first time that Poulos came to Colombia to visit his niece, on the contrary, during the year of relationship the man would have come repeatedly. “He was very special with her and with the family. He came and they all went out to eat, he brought gifts and toys for Valentina’s younger brother, ”the uncle declared.
However, he also pointed out that once the news of Valentina’s death was known, Poulos disappeared. He “Stopped answering the phone. All we want is for you to tell us what happened that night, where you went to party. We know that they left on Friday and also on Saturday because she told her mother, but on Sunday they called us from the Sijín to tell us that they had found the girl’s body,” said Carlos Trespalacios.

According to the testimony of the next of kin, This trip would be the last one that Jhon Poulos was going to make to Colombia because he came with the full intention of going to live with Valentina.
Even in the last video that the young woman sent to her mother, hours before she disappeared, you can see the black bags in which she allegedly carried her personal items for the move. “Say hello to my mom, say hello. Look, mommy, the bags I’m taking home”, is heard in the fragment of the video that circulated through social networks and to which this medium had access.
But the clues in this case seem not to be so clear to the authorities. Although the last thing that was known about Valentina was that she was in the company of her foreign boyfriend, with whom they were partying the last two nights before her death, this outlet contacted the Bogotá Police, which is conducting the investigation, and there indicated that it has not yet been possible to establish the relationship of the foreigner with the heinous crime.
However, although there is no arrest warrant for anyone and the line of events of the homicide has not been established, the authorities are looking for Poulos to give testimony about what happened.
