On Sunday, January 22, an unfortunate discovery was made in the Los Cámbulos neighborhood, in the town of Fontibón: the lifeless body of Valentina Trespalacios, a renowned 23-year-old DJ, was found inside a suitcase.

According to the first versions of the authorities, the body of the young woman was found by a recycler who was passing through the sector inside a blue suitcase that, in turn, was inside a garbage container located in the vicinity of the Los Cámbulos Park, west of Bogotá.
“She appeared in a suitcase (…) She went out to party with her American fiancé on Friday and Saturday, so much so that she shared WhatsApp messages while at the disco”said Carlos Trespalacios, the young woman’s uncle, in dialogue with ‘Blu Radio’.

So far, the main suspect is the victim’s boyfriend, with whom, according to relatives, he would have been chatting from Friday to Saturday. Also, he is apparently one of the last people to see her alive.
The man had been dating Trespalacios for more than a year and, according to the young woman’s uncle for the aforementioned radio station, “they had many plans”, so they do not understand “what could have happened”. So far, there is no trace of him.

What is known so far is that, although the body has already been removed, they are trying to clarify the causes of death of the DJ. Although the definitive cause of death of Trespalacios must be determined by Legal Medicine, The first report of the case indicates that the young woman’s body presents a ‘pressure groove in the hyoid region’, which, according to experts consulted, is observed in cases of hanging.
The authorities, for their part, carry out work with security cameras in the area to identify the alleged perpetrators and carry out neighborhood work to collect information from possible witnesses. Likewise, Colombia Migration seeks to determine if the victim’s boyfriend, a United States citizen, left the country.

On social networks, for example, it had more than 16,000 followers and on Facebook it had almost 10,000. There he not only shared information about his hiring, but also his visit to countries like Mexico and Chile. According to his uncle, he had been a DJ for about four years.
