Valorant Update 7.10 Patch Notes: Improved Deadlock, Deathmatch Changes, and More

Valorant patch 7.10 has arrived, marking the first update since Episode 7 Act 3 dropped. Here’s a rundown of everything included in the 7.09 patch notes.

The first Valorant update following the arrival of Iso in Valorant Patch 7.09, which kicks off Episode 7 Act 3, is here. In light of the new Law, update 7.10 brings improvements to Deadlock after players demanded changes to Sentinel, claiming she is “the worst agent in the game by far.”

Not only that, we’ve seen some small tweaks to both Reyna and Fade in Patch 7.10. That being said, let’s dive into what’s changed.

Valorant Update 7.10 Patch Notes

As mentioned above, Patch 7.10 brings some much-needed attention to Deadlock. The Sentinel, which was released just before in Episode 7, has had a difficult time keeping up with other Agents, especially after Cypher received several buffs in the latest patch.

Notably, Deadlock’s GravNet (C) now requires anyone captured by it to manually remove the net to remove the effect. Before this, if you or the enemy were captured, you could eliminate them by moving outside the network radius or waiting for the effect to expire.

“We think this unlocks a unique power profile while also making the interaction more interesting for both sides, as enemies must put down their weapons and make noise to deal with the debuff,” Riot said.

“Additionally, we’ve made Deadlock’s execution ability more reliable by increasing its radius while ensuring that agents like Jett and Raze can’t trivialize getting trapped in it with their mobility.

Agent Updates

Deadpoint

  • Anyone caught by GravNet will now be weakened indefinitely until you eliminate them.
  • Anyone caught by GravNet will now be affected by increased gravity and reduced mobility (example: GravNet now reduces Jett’s tailwind (E) distance).
  • GravNet removal time increased by 0.85s >>> 1.5s.
  • GravNet radius increased 6m >>> 8m.

jett

  • Jett’s third-person animations while Blade Storm (X) is equipped have been adjusted to
Helps with combat clarity. It should now be easier to understand your movement when
she runs and when she throws knives.

Team Deathmatch

Queen

Reyna’s Read (C) has proven to be specifically powerful in the close limits of Team Deathmatch, as it doesn’t affect allies, and Empress (X), lacking a time limit if rolling, has proven to be extremely powerful. These changes are meant to create more downtime between these moments of power and push Reyna to prioritize orbs if she wants to try to take control of Emperatriz.

  • Only changes in Team Deathmatch:
    • Read (C) cooldown increased to 44 seconds >>> 51 seconds
    • Empress (X) will load 14% slower

Fade

In Team Deathmatch, Fade’s utility can seem a bit difficult to use and take advantage of. These changes are intended to help her locate her enemies and approach them.

  • Only change in Team Deathmatchyes:
    • Marauder (C) cooldown decreased by 44 seconds >>> 36 seconds
    • Seize (Q) cooldown decreased by 51 seconds >>> 48 seconds

Error correction

  • General
    • Fixed a bug where reverb was not reliably applied to some types of
      sounds, including gunshots and footsteps.
    • Fixed an issue where Viper’s Pit (X) was not properly blocking enemies’ vision in
      the minimap and the megamap.
    • Fixed issues with Fade’s Prowler (C) passing through certain objects.
  • Player behavior
    • Fixed an issue where the report button text was cut off for the Arabic language in the Player Report menu.
