Verstappen defeats the champion and smothers the rebels one by one; Alonso is a great sixth
Max Verstappen won again, this time in Canadian Grand Prix.with an unusual ability to suffer and suppression of any type of rebellion against his leadership. He is one of the greatest champions in history and against riders like Russell Norris or Piastri he seems to play like a schoolboydespite the fact that his car is worse, which was clearly visible all weekend with Czech Perez.
If we add to this Ferrari backfires brand of the house, without rhythm and both cars are out of the game, The three-time champion chokes out his potential opponents one by one. No World Cup or anything, but a distance of 56 points over Leclercwhich he abandoned due to mechanical problems.
He Verstappen’s 60th victory in 194 races came after he had absorbed a huge dominance from Mercedes and Hamilton. This one yesue 8 years and endlessly, there is no point in comparing with them the two years that Red Bull had with clear superiority. Now they’re over, but Max keeps everyone at bay with driving that’s as cool as it is challenging in any circumstances. It does not care about dry, wet or semi-rainy soil. He is not embarrassed when, after a mistake, he loses position and recovers again. An absolute phenomenon and the best racer today.
Seeing how they walked McLaren and Mercedes, Max could win alone in either of those two cars. It’s not the car, it’s the driving, and the wobbly RB20 shows the league.
Russell, nice try, but third
George Russell gave Verstappen trouble at many stages of the race, but his own mistakes condemned him. First Norris overtook him and was unable to brake, which gave the second to Max. dirty final maneuver of the 63rd round, an attempt to pin Piastri to the wall was flagged by stewards and could be penalized for several seconds for choking the Australian’s line and making “potentially dangerous” contact with his car. For Alonso it would be 20 seconds. but it will be related to English.
Lando Norris also had this, but at a key moment with equal, medium-dry tires in the final part, he could not even get close. to the current F1 mechanic who removed it from the steering wheel without any problems.
Behind Russell arrived to play the game and pass Piastri and Hamilton again.. Lewis may not have liked the way his teammate attacked him, but he is no longer untouchable at Mercedes because he chose to leave them stranded.
Alonso, another unreal sixth result
AND a very clear step behind Of all those who risked victory,Aston Martin bequeathed by Fernando Alonso. The Asturian held on to fifth place for 26 laps, defending superbly against Hamilton, who was unable to catch him. despite being 0.3 seconds from the rear wing.
The Englishman saw the sky at the first pit stop when The Aston Martin was blocked when changing tires and gave Lewis fifth place in the race. Either way, it’s a clear improvement coming from where it comes from, but the pace of AMP24 was even pathetic regarding McLaren and Mercedes. The fact that Fernando’s best lap was 1.5 times behind Hamilton’s best lap (the fastest of the race) no longer requires a lot of extra qualifying.
Ferrari, forget it
Ferrari’s worst day of the year came after qualifying 11th and 12th. double zero arrived, Leclerc breakdown, Sainz with a damaged car (broken front fender), which was not fixed, the cause is unknown, and which ended up in grass…
Impossibly worse in every way, with no capture and no explanation of what happened. In Spain, with the sun and heat, it will be a different story, but Charles can forget about fighting for the title, at least in the next Grand Prix.

Start (V1/70): Alonso won the place and finished fifth:
Fernando overtook Ricciardo for fifth place, while Russell retained first place over Verstappen. Carlos lost several places.
Haas, having chosen extreme rain tires, came back brilliantly and Magnussen took fourth place in just 4 laps, pushing Fernando back into sixth place and Hulkenberg into eighth.
Magnussen stop (V8)
The rain stopped and Magnussen came to install intermediate water tires.
Alonso struggled to keep the car in place, while Hamilton was glued to the Spaniard. Russell, in front, was 2.5 seconds behind Max.
On lap 11, Verstappen began to attack from the first dry patches on the track.
Max’s Whiplash (V17)
I was about to go up into turn 1-2, but I managed to control the car. He had to slow down Russell’s pursuit and Norris hit him from behind.
Alonso was able to catch some air with Hamilton after a few laps of tight defence.
Norris passed Vertappen and Russell to take first place.
A magnificent comeback by Lando, overtaking Max on the 20th lap and overtaking Russell on the 21st lap on the back straight, with an error by the Mercedes driver, who also lost second place to the world champion.
Sergeant and Security Accident (V26)
The third time an accident occurred, everyone again went to the pits to set up intermediate ones.
And Alonso lost sixth to Hamilton due to Aston’s slow stop. There were 25 laps of defend at all costs and Fernando gave up due to a mistake by his team during a stoppage. A shame.
Norris stopped on the next lap and Max was first, not eating or drinking and with a new set of intermediate tires. but there was still a lot left, a third of the race was ahead.
Vertappen, Russell, Norris, Piastri, Hamilton and Alonso sixth. Carlos fell behind Leclerc with a double stop and dropped from 12th to 13th place.
Output (V30), Max first.
Leclerc’s electric motor broke and he desperately used the hard tires in search of a miracle. On these tires he lost more than 15 seconds per lap.
And Albon scored one of the overtakes of the year, overtaking Ricciardo and Ocon in the same maneuver. Masterpiece.
Sainz was 13th attacked by Gasly because his front wing endplate was destroyed. An absolute disaster for Ferrari, as Alonso says, “when they came to win the World Cup after Monaco and all that.”
Leclerc said goodbye (V42)
After his best day in Formula 1 in Monaco, this Sunday in Montreal he had one of his failures, due to poor quality, breaking down and leaving with several sets of tyres.
Hamilton opened the party (V/44)
He stopped dead in the middle of the dry track and was imitated by several cars behind him before Alonso and Piastri saved the position. Norris, Russell and leader Max continued the race with intermediate links.
Verstappen and Russell entered on lap 46, but not Norris, making an all-or-nothing bet.
Lando entered the 48th lap and was unable to complete the pass, but took second place from Russell.
George overtook Lado on lap 50 after a McLaren error and gave it back to him on lap 51 for an error on lap 63. This time no one stopped him in front.
Lap 54, Ceco, Sainz and Albon crashes (safety car)
Carlos came out through the grass and was able to return, but Albon remained on the edge of the wall and Checo walked towards the wall alone. All three suddenly said goodbye. Carlos apologized on the radio, but at the stop they did not replace the front wing, which was badly damaged.
Russell put on new tires and dropped to fourth place, but had to run laps on a better set of tires to try to win the race.
Output, (V58)
Max handled Lando well and maintained the lead. Alonso was sixth, followed by Stroll.
