Watch Austin Butler agree to save Drew Barrymore from a bad blind date

On Wednesday’s episode The Drew Barrymore Show, Masters of the Air The star was joined by his co-star Callum Turner. In addition to promoting their new Apple TV+ series, the couple offered some helpful dating advice.

In the clip, Barrymore, 48, says she was a little nervous about the blind date she was about to have that night.

Noting that this was her “first date in a very long time,” Turner had nothing but support from the host.

“I’m looking forward to seeing you tonight,” Turner says.

“Me not. I’m scared of these things because they’re awkward,” Drew adds.

Barrymore reveals that she and a mystery man (whom she met online) are going to have a dinner date, something she was advised against.

“I like dinner,” Butler says. “Then, you know, if it doesn’t work out, you can actually talk, and yeah, you’ll have a great time.”

“I have a good feeling about tonight,” Turner says.

When Barrymore asks what she should do if the mood of a date turns sour, both men advise her to get out of there. Butler even offers to help.

“Yes, you go to the bathroom, call a friend and ask him to make you a surprise call,” Elvis says the star.

“Can you do it?” asks Barrymore.

“Do you want me to do this?” – suggests Butler. “I’ll be your friend”.

Barrymore admits she plans to accept his offer.

“I am not kidding. I’m very nervous and I’ve never met this person before. He’s a complete stranger,” she shares.

“I’m looking forward to the updates,” Butler says.

“Please call me to get out of here,” she begs Butler, who happily obliged, saying, “Yes, just text me and I’ll call.”

Barrymore has been open about her return to the dating scene following her 2016 divorce from Will Kopelman.

For his part, Butler has been in a relationship with Kaia Gerber since 2021.although Turner’s dates also caused a stir, since he was linked to Dua Lipa.

During their recent party at Sushi Park in West Hollywood in mid-January, Turner was photographed hugging his fellow English native from behind and kissing her on the cheek.

“They were looking at the moon,” an eyewitness told ET. “They seemed to stick together. He looked amazed and she was just super, super happy.”
