WhatsApp launches new text formats: here’s how you can use them

  • Bold font: *you must put an asterisk before and after the word*
  • Italics: _you must put a low line before and after the word_
  • Strikethrough: ~a tilde must be placed before and after the word~
  • Monospace: “`you must put 3 quotation marks before and after the word“`

Just 4 really useful options if you want to emphasize something, write something differently, or even surprise your friends or family with something they might not know how to do.

Now, WhatsApp has been updated with four new text formats To give your messaging app more variety and usage:

  • Numbered lists: Place 1 before a phrase or word
  • Unordered lists: put – before the phrase or word
  • Code block: ‘use a single quote before a phrase or word’
  • Text quote: >use diple before a phrase or word

With these 4 additions, There are now 8 text formats for WhatsApp. with which you can edit your posts the way you want.

This add-on is now available to everyone, but if you are unable to do so, try updating the app. If you still can’t use it, you’ll have to wait a few hours or days as this type of deployment usually takes a while.
