ANDThe second Monday of July brings a pleasant surprise to Spanish consumers. In fact, the cost of electricity is once again rising rapidly, recording its highest level this month. The average price of electricity on Monday, July 7, will be 73.19 euros per megawatt hour (MWh).
According to data published and distributed by the Iberian Operator of the Energy Market (OMIE), the worst times to start electrical appliances that consume the most energy are the following: from 7 to 9 am and from 8 to 11 pm at night, hours during which the average marginal price exceeds 100 euros/MWh.
On the contrary, the second half of the day is the most favorable time of day. From 12 to 17 the average cost of electricity is less than 40 euros per megawatt-hour.
