As one of the largest gaming outlets, GameStop is no stranger to Black Friday deals, with huge discounts on PS5 and Xbox consoles, as well as games and accessories.

GameStop’s history dates back to 1984 when the company was founded under the name Babbage’s in Dallas, Texas. Babbage specializes in PC software and games. Over the years, the company went through several changes, acquisitions and expansions. In 1999, Barnes & Noble acquired Babbage’s and the company became a subsidiary of the largest bookstore chain. The name was changed to Babbage’s, Etc. A year later it was renamed Gamestop.
As we said, one of the country’s largest tech and video game retailers is no stranger to holiday deals, and while stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Gamestop’s Black Friday hours start early at 5 a.m. on selected locations. But you can always shop online for deals too, because Gamestop’s Black Friday sale kicked off on November 13, 2023 with up to 75 percent off some of gaming’s biggest titles.
Tons of PS5 games are included in GameStop’s Black Friday event, including titles like Far Cry 6, Forspoken, and Battlefield 2042. There are also great deals on Xbox, including A Plague Tale: Requiem, Tony Hawk professional skater 1+2, saints row, Madden NFL 23and dozens of other great titles are on sale at some of the lowest prices of the year. And while Nintendo Switch games are typically immune to sales or discounts, GameStop is offering discounts on Zelda, Pokémon, and Mario titles.
