Jamshedpur: Around 30 villagers have been found infected with malaria in the last 24 hours in three villages of Tonto block of West Singhbhum district. Health officials said two doctors and nursing staff have been camping in the disease-affected villages since Thursday. Apart from health officials, a team of multi-purpose workers (MPWs) was sent to the villages on Friday. They are going door to door to make the villagers aware about the measures to prevent malaria. The workers will survey houses and nearby places to identify the reason behind the sudden increase in the vector-borne disease.
