This is how Cuba will form in its debut in the World Baseball Classic.

Through the Twitter page of the Cuban Baseball Federation, the photo of the team’s roster for the 2023 World Baseball Classic was shared.

The Cuban baseball team trained in West Palm Beach prior to the meeting on March 7, 2023 at 11:00 pm (Central American time) with the Netherlands, better known as the Netherlands.

The Cuban press spoke with Yariel Rodriguez prior to the meeting with Holland (Netherlands) in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

“I feel in a position to do it, (…) I have all the disposition and spirit, which is important,” said the baseball player, who will be the first opener in the opening game Cuba vs. Netherlands.

“I’ve always wanted to be an opener,” he added during the last training session.

Cuba’s match with Holland (Netherlands) will have certain changes. Through a tweet from the Cuban team, Dr. Montesinos (team chief medical officer) announced that Andy Ibáñez will not participate in the opening game of the World Baseball Classic due to injury.

The Organizing Committee maintained the venues that were going to be for 2021. This means that the World Classic will have four venues, focusing all activities in four cities in Asia and the US.

1. Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium: Taichung, taiwan. 2.Tokyo Dome: tokyo, Japan. 3. Loan Depot Park: Miami, USA. 4. Chase Field: Phoenix, USA.

For this initial date of the 2023 World Baseball Classic, the opening game of the tournament will take place between the following teams:

– Cuba vs. Netherlands: March 7 at 11:00 p.m. in Central America and March 8 at 12:00 a.m. (midnight in Venezuela).

Regarding the inauguration, Major League Baseball and the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) officially announced that the championship will take place from March 8 to 21, 2022.

The inauguration will be on March 8 with the presence of Mariano Rivera, one of the best relievers in the history of the Major Leagues and current member of the Hall of Fame.
