Zara opens Zacaffé, the first line of Inditex coffee shops in Madrid
Zara has taken another step in its diversification strategy by opening Zakaffefirst line of coffee shops, in the heart of Madrid.
This new concept is located inside the Zara store at number 14 Hermosilla Street, although it also has a separate entrance that allows access to those who want to enjoy the space without shopping in the store.

The cafeteria, inspired by an Arabic house in Madrid, combines neo-Mudéjar architectural design with a cultural and gastronomic focus.
The space was designed by Art Recherche et Industrie under the direction of creator Ramdan Touhami and stands out for its architectural style, characterized by brick and warm colors that recall the capital’s Mudejar past. According to Zara representatives, Zakaffe strives to have its own identity and develop depending on the places where it is installed.
With this first opening, the company announced international expansion plans targeting Japan and Korea in 2025, tailoring the design and offering to each city to strengthen its cultural connection to the environment.
Zakaffe The offer of coffee and pastries is not limited to. The space will feature cultural and artistic projects, such as the current exhibition of images by photographer Juan Baraja on the staircase connecting the two floors of the space.
In addition, Zara plans to transform the space into a meeting place for creators, providing space for art exhibitions and other initiatives. This synergy of fashion, culture and gastronomy represents a strategic movement that aims to take the brand beyond fashion.
The establishment also involves exclusive cooperation with brands. At its opening Zakaffe represents an alliance with Castellano Houseluxury Spanish shoe brand, whose seven exclusive models are displayed at the entrance to the store and are available both in this space and on the Zara website.
This limited edition strategy enhances the exclusivity of the location and makes it a must-visit for the brand’s clients and design and fashion lovers.
