Zoe Saldana’s children look so grown up in rare photos
Zoe Saldana gave a rare glimpse into her personal life with photos of her three sons.
Avatar: The Way of Water The 45-year-old star took to Instagram on Friday, February 16, to share a clip highlighting several recent moments she shared with her family, namely her husband. Marco Perego Saldanhaand their three children, twins Cy and Bowie, 9, and Zen, 7.
The photos and videos shared by Saldanha show the family together on the beach, at home, planning and in bed, interspersed only with selfies of the actress and dates with her 44-year-old husband. The video was shot for the song “Lost” by Frank Ocean. “Lost, lost, lost… In better places, with better people. Always lost… Amen! Saldaña captioned the post.
Saldaña kept her boys out of the spotlight for most of their lives until May 2018, when they made their first public appearance on Guardians of the Galaxy Part 3 Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Ceremony.
Saldaña has previously spoken about her experiences raising three boys. In an exclusive interview in June 2018, she said Us weekly that she and Perego Saldaña, who married in 2013, try to run a gender-neutral family.
“We have a very gender-neutral environment, where my husband is involved in many tasks that would normally be assigned to women, and vice versa,” she explained. “I have to do a lot of manly things, like, I don’t know, putting together a TV, fixing broken things. We have a very gender fluid family. “I think it’s important to raise boys in this environment, and girls too.”
The actress added that it was “ironic” that she was constantly surrounded by boys as she grew up with two sisters. However, Saldaña believed that boys could be “just as crazy” as girls.
“They are just as sensitive and kind, but very hyperactive,” she said at the time. “It’s really difficult… You need a lot of physical energy to keep up with three boys. “Four boys, because my husband is the oldest.”
Saldaña added that when it comes to raising three boys, “outbursts always happen at the worst possible times.”
She continued: “I had it all. I checked every box. At the airport, in public places, in the car, sitting and talking to people you barely know. Suddenly you feel something, look at yourself and realize that you are full of crap. “It’s just, you know, c’est la vie.”
Even though many of her sons may have challenged her as a mother (as children tend to do), Saldaña shared one of the most valuable lessons her children have taught her about parenting: “Be good.”
“We mothers sometimes forget about this,” Avengers: Endgame – explained the star. “We are caught up in parenting, teaching, disciplining, cooking and cleaning, and we don’t have enough time to play. I think my kids always remind me when I’m being too boring. They say: “Mom, behave well, sit down and play with me.” “That’s what they teach me.”
