★ The Pfizer Foundation announces a new edition of the Young Investigator Innovation Award to mark its 25th anniversary.

The Pfizer Foundation opens the nomination period for the XXV Scientific Innovation Award for Young Researchers in Biomedical and Health Sciences. The awards are intended for scientists under 40 years of age who carry out their research work in Spanish institutions or in collaboration with foreign institutions, both public and private, and whose work has been published in scientific journals cited in the Science Citation Index during 2023 of the year. .

These awards are the highest honor bestowed by the Pfizer Foundation and are designed to recognize the work of researchers who strive to find innovative solutions to address current and future health challenges.

The jury, comprised of members of the Pfizer Foundation Board of Trustees, will especially recognize the innovative use of technology, advanced statistical methods and new digital methodologies to advance scientific knowledge in the field of human health. In addition, the future applicability of the results published in the articles and the innovative approach of the work developed will be taken into account.

The winners in each of the categories, basic and clinical, will receive a financial award of 15,000 euros to promote and strengthen the developed research areas and contribute to the development of scientific knowledge. To participate, applicants must complete the registration form located on the Pfizer Foundation website www.fundacionpfizer.org by May 14.

The Science Innovation Prize is the Foundation’s oldest event and has been held annually since its inception. In their 24 previous editions they have already highlighted the work of 55 researchers. This new award celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Pfizer Foundation, which has worked for a quarter century to contribute to the scientific, technological and social innovation that drives improvements in health and responses to public health challenges. needs of the population.

The publication’s awards will be presented at the Foundation’s 25th anniversary event after the summer.
