“Lehmann lost his cool when he said Spain were a youth team”

Nicolas Linner, a journalist for “Bild”, was very insistent in Onda Cero’s “Radioestadio Noche” when it came to criticising the former national team goalkeeper’s words against Spain: “I think Lehmann has lost his cool a bit; to say that ‘Spain is a youth team’ means not seeing the Eurocup.”
As for the quarter-final match, the German journalist believes: “I think Germany are slight favourites on Friday; Spain’s defence doesn’t give me much confidence.”

Mikel Oyarzabal hits back at Jens Lehmann for calling Spain a ‘youth team’
Spain international Mikel Oyarzabal also responded to Lehmann: “This is another opinion that deserves respect but is not shared. In the end, we know that we are a group that forms a great team and what people think will have their reasons for saying it, but it does not affect us.”
