Louis Vuitton has appointed Saoirse Ronan as its new ambassador
FRESH FACE: Louis Vuitton has named actress Saoirse Ronan as its latest ambassador, the house announced on Tuesday.
In recent months, the brand has been developing ties with the Irish-American actress. She was a guest of the brand’s women’s artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière at the Academy Gala in Los Angeles last December, and also sat front row at the spring 2024 ready-to-wear show last October, as reported.
“I have admired Saoirse’s career for many years; I find her absolutely charming in her roles,” Ghesquière said. “Moreover, behind her talent lies such a charming and bright person.”
Ronan also wore Vuitton in January to the Sundance premiere of “The Outrun,” which she stars in and produces.
The actress, who turns 30 this year, has been active for more than two decades and has been praised for the breadth and emotion of her work in films including Little Women, Lady Bird, Brooklyn and Atonement. She was nominated for four Academy Awards and won a Golden Globe for best actress for her role in Greta Gerwig’s 2017 coming-of-age film Lady Bird.
