A body was found in the search area for the missing canary in York

The discovery was made at 3:15pm this Sunday and the process of fully identifying the body is already underway. North Yorkshire Police have reported the recovery in connection with the search for this body on their website Seth Martin, 31 years oldmissing.

Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Seth’s family has been informed of the news. “Death not considered a suspect and a report will be prepared for the coroner,” the police force says.

Seth, who is from the Canary Islands but lived in York, went missing on Saturday 24 February 2024. Following Seth’s disappearance, numerous appeals for information were made, with police thanking those who responded and made contact.

“Our thoughts are with Seth’s family and friends at this time.”
