The Emmy-nominated “White Lotus” star spoke to PEOPLE exclusively about what makes her feel beautiful.
It took Alexandra Daddario some time to embrace her personal style, but now she owns it.
“The point is that style is what you love. When you’re younger, you always want to follow everyone. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve really been able to accept that Hey I feel great and it’s really cool. It took me a long time to get comfortable with it.” White Lotus The 37-year-old actress spoke exclusively to PEOPLE at the TAG Heuer flagship event in New York.
Attending the event on Wednesday, Daddario did so in a nearly sheer, floor-length dress adorned with black sequined ruffles. She also wore black heeled sandals and a TAG Heuer watch to celebrate the opening of the brand’s new Fifth Avenue boutique.

And yet the only thing that helps Mayfair Witches Celebrities feel the most powerful, and this has nothing to do with fashion in the least.
“Gratitude, counting your blessings, and being positive about where you are,” are some of the practices that make Daddario feel beautiful.
“We live in a culture where we constantly compare ourselves to other people. Once you have that power and start meditating on your gratitude, I think that’s what will make you feel confident.”

Speaking to PEOPLE at the celebration, Daddario recalled her and husband Andrew Form’s wedding anniversary, which was celebrated over dinner.

And The Texas Chainsaw Massacregot married in New Orleans last June.The Emmy-nominated actress said “I do” in Danielle Frankel’s vintage pleated wool wedding dress, which she gushed about. Fashion “feels like it belongs in New Orleans and was the right choice for the Louisiana heat.”

The dress, called Scarlet, which retailed for $9,990, also featured lace appliqués, spaghetti straps and a tulle train.
When it came to adding “something blue” to her wedding look, Daddario wore a ring that was actually inspired by Meghan Markle, who Daddario is “obsessed” with.
Last summer, Daddario told PEOPLE: “She wore an aquamarine ring, I think it was from Princess Diana’s collection. Mine was less elaborate, but I had a large blue aquamarine ring, copying Meghan Markle.”
The overall look of the wedding day seems natural. “I don’t like to think too much, I like to just follow my instincts. I don’t want to get too hung up on clothes. I like to just put it on.” she added.
