Authorities say body of sixth victim of Baltimore bridge collapse has been recovered

(CNN) — Rescue workers have recovered the body of the sixth — and final — person killed in the March 26 Baltimore bridge collapse, officials announced Tuesday. This marked a serious milestone in the week-long recovery operation following the disaster.

The victim was identified as Jose Minor Lopez, 37, of Baltimore, Maryland. CNN previously reported that Lopez had three children and was the main breadwinner for his family.

“Maryland State Police investigators, along with an FBI linguist and victim specialist, and a team of mental health professionals notified next of kin after confirming a positive identification,” said Unified Command, a joint task force made up of police, Coast Guard Made from and.
