What has Avatar prepared now? The James Cameron franchise has no ceiling and does not want to know it, and his ambition reaches gigantic heights.
Avatar has announced a surprise for the future. Producer Jon Landau recently revealed that the fourth installment in the saga will include a major time jump. Thirteen years after releasing the highest-grossing film of all time, director James Cameron returned to the popular sci-fi franchise with The Sense of Water. Set a decade and a half after the Na’vi defeated the Resource Development Administration (RDA), the sequel saw Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) fight to protect their family when Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) is resurrected for the sole purpose of eliminating Jake.
This is what we can expect from the fourth film
Recently, a press event was held for the domestic release of The Sense of Water, where Jon Landau discussed the future of the franchise. When asked about the development of Avatar 4, the producer confirmed that the first act has already been shot, as the story requires a major time jump for the rest of the film. “The first act is already filmed,” said the producer of the films. “Because, truth be told, there’s a time cut after the end of the first act and we needed to catch all the kids before they got older and shoot all of that.”

The Water Sense concluded with Jake and his family driving back Quaritch and his men, though both adversaries suffered devastating losses in the fight. Jake reaffirmed his loyalty to the seafaring town of Metkayina and recommitted himself to the war against the GDR.. The sequel’s ending sets up a third installment of Avatar packed with high-octane action. In which Quaritch will be affected by the actions of his son, his Spider, but more determined to finish off a Jake who burns with hatred for the murder of his eldest son.
