Bella Ramsey has commented on season two of HBO’s The Last of Us, saying they are “incredibly happy” with the casting announcements for season two.
As previously announced, Season 2 will feature Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Young Masino as Jesse, and Isabela Merced as Dina. “It’s exciting for me. I’m glad that a whole group of new people have joined our family. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” Ramsey said. GamesRadar+.
Also during the interview, Ramsey recalled his first meeting with Dever. Ramsey and Dever were at a gala and they met by chance while waiting for their cars.
The two apparently didn’t have the deepest conversation at the time, in part because Dever hadn’t been officially cast as Abby at that point.
“I knew at that point they were talking to her about casting, so it was just quiet, like, ‘Hey,’ sharing numbers and everything,” Ramsey said. “She’s great, Isabelle and Young are great too, I’m really excited to be able to work with them all.”
Production on the second season is due to begin in February, and despite suffering a broken limb, star Pedro Pascal (Joel) says he will be ready to go. The second season will be released in 2025.
The Last of Us Season 2 is expected to cover at least some of the events of The Last of Us: Part II, and fans are aware of all of those details. The show is expected to continue for several more seasons consisting of 3-5 seasons.
As for the game series, Naughty Dog recently canceled The Last of Us Online, but two new single-player games are still in development.
