Beware of this new scam pretending to be Vodafone

There are more and more scammers every day and although some of them do not work at all, others manage to have an effect and steal the personal data of many users. The latest one we discovered is related to Vodafone and it is very dangerous.

Usually, when a scam starts with offering us a gift, we hesitate. However, there are exceptions in which the situation may get out of control and they may end up fooling us. One such case may occur if we are customers of an operator and are faced with its customer rewards program.

This scam takes us through a survey that supposedly Vodafone clients They are entitled to access the reward. This is a common thing that we can earn thanks to the fact that we are in the operator for a certain time or that we have added points and can exchange them for some kind of gift.

In this case, fortunately, there are several factors that make the fraud attempt less credible. First, the URL displayed at the top of the browser is not trustworthy. In addition to this, the promotion text is long and is riddled with errors or expressions it doesn’t look very good in terms of convincing Spanish structure. You may read phrases such as “evaluate our strengths and weaknesses” or “receive a valuable gift from us.” Not to mention that at the beginning of the text it says “Every day we randomly select some users.” Needless to say, “randomly” doesn’t seem to be a method very typical of a business like Vodafone (apart from the fact that the expression itself doesn’t make much sense).

On the other side, the promised gifts are so surreal Because of their enormous value, it is obvious that they are unreal. They tell you that you can get a $750 Shein gift card, a €500 to €1,000 gift card, or a free three-year subscription to Netflix. 3 years! It’s a tough game when trying to deceive the potential victims they have sent the scam to.

But as we tell you, none of it is true and you do not need to answer any questions or continue browsing the site. It’s better to close it right away and quickly escape from a fraud attempt to which they tried to lead you through this method of deception.
