CaixaBank is sticking to ICO lines to provide assistance to those affected by the data | Companies

CaixaBank announced this Saturday that it has joined the new ICO lines promoted by the government, which plan to mobilize 5 billion euros in loans for hurricane relief, mainly in the Valencian Community. The organization said in a statement that the new funding lines for both individuals and companies will help offset losses incurred and will also extend the availability of emergency loans for longer than originally planned, with the lines being activated as a matter of urgency. in the hours immediately after the disaster.

The new ICO funding is divided into three lines, the first two aimed at providing victims, individuals, the self-employed, communities of owners and companies with preliminary assistance from public administrations and insurance compensation, even if they have not yet made an official statement. loss assessment. In both cases, the amount will be an estimate, in accordance with the terms of the policy and the loss incurred, and a fixed interest rate of 0% per annum will apply for individual customers for the first three months and 2.5% per annum for loans with a term of three months to five years .

To process a funding request from CaixaBank, customers must submit a request for compensation and government assistance. Once they receive them, their CaixaBank loan will be canceled without any cost if they do so within the first three months. The third line of ICOs is aimed at affected companies whose main activities are carried out in the affected regions, with the goal of providing them with liquidity and allowing them to restore their economic activities. These will be loans in amounts corresponding to the damage suffered and the economic capabilities of the company. The conditions will also be personalized in each case, CaixaBank clarifies.

This funding, approved by the ICO in all three areas, will be available to CaixaBank clients in the coming days. It can be issued both in traditional offices and in mobile offices that CaixaBank has moved to the affected areas, the organization indicates. In particular, CaixaBank has activated six service vehicles that serve residents of cities such as Paiporta, Algemesi, Adaya, Albal and Sedavi, among others. Mobile offices provide basic banking services such as cash withdrawals, advance requests, loan moratorium management or insurance processing in some locations where services cannot be offered in offices.

Adherence to ICO lines and deployment of mobile offices are added to the plan of support measures for victims activated by the organization. In addition to financing lines and advances, CaixaBank has activated a moratorium on loan payments for affected customers to ease the financial burden and facilitate recovery. The measure consists of a temporary suspension of repayment of financial installment loans for individuals, self-employed people, small businesses and micro-enterprises located in areas declared disaster zones.

Likewise, through MicroBank, CaixaBank’s social bank, financial support has been provided to guarantee the continuity of operations of small businesses with a turnover of up to two million euros and less than ten employees, through an emergency line of financing to guarantee business continuity. activities with a maximum amount of €50,000 payable within 72 months.

On the other hand, a line of 300 million euros has been launched through Agrobank to help the agri-food sector with affected farms and crops. And SegurCaixa Adeslas has installed a telephone line (900 103 500) to speed up contact with the insurer and, in case policyholders need it, to facilitate the management of the consortium’s claims. CaixaBank has also activated all its operational channels to send donations to social organizations that provide assistance to victims on the ground. Any client can contribute to the care of those affected by Dana through a network of offices; web portal of the organization www.caixabank.es; digital, web and mobile banking services; a network of ATMs throughout Spain, as well as through bizum.
