Cardiologist warns young people about rising cancer rates: avoid these two foods, ‘they’re killing you’

The sharp increase in cancer incidence among young people has prompted us to search for the reasons for this dangerous trend. Lifestyle is one of the main factors and one of the pillars is diet. We have moved away from traditional foods and are being replaced by fast and ultra-processed options, which carry health risks when they become the mainstay of the diet.

In this regard, cardiologist Aurelio Rojas Sanchez took to his TikTok account to issue a serious warning to young people about the alarming increase in cancer incidence in people under 40 years of age. In recent years, cases of breast, colon, pancreatic, endometrial, stomach and prostate cancer have increased by 80%, Rojas said.

Two foods to avoid

In search of an explanation, the expert emphasizes that these cancers have one common factor: favors increased levels of insulin in the bodya powerful growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of cancer cells. The problem, according to experts, is two foods that are very common in the daily diet many people: sugar and refined wheat flour.

Rojas explains that both sugar and refined flour disproportionately increase insulin production, which not only contributes to various types of cancer, but also an increase in cardiovascular disease. “If you want to prevent and take care of yourself, you already know that you should not use“, the cardiologist concludes in his video.

Aurelio Rojas’ warning highlights the importance of adopting a healthier, more mindful diet, especially among young people who are seeing alarming increases in the incidence of diseases previously thought to be more common in older age. For this reason, it is recommended to reduce the consumption of these products as much as possible. Give preference to real products, those that do not have labels. Don’t forget about eating fruits and vegetables, which should play the biggest role in the meals we eat. And supplement it with quality proteins and healthy fats, such as extra virgin olive oil, avocado or natural nuts.

As part of a diet that follows these guidelines, there will be no problem if you occasionally consume foods that are considered unhealthy. The important thing is that they do not replace others that our body needs to get the necessary amount of nutrients to recover and be able to function in everyday life.
