The Sonos Ace are over-ear headphones available in white or black. We weigh 312 grams (compared to Apple’s 384 grams) and have vegan leather interior. According to the company, they were designed from the ground up with a custom 40mm dynamic driver added to each earbud.
The Sonos Ace’s sound is high resolution. They promise compatibility with HiFi sound and spatial sound like Dolby Atmosadding head movement registration for adaptation.
Over the years, Sonos has been renowned for its superior audio fidelity and its focus on products that help you get the most out of your music and movies. And the message is repeated in the headphones. Later this year, Sonos Ace will add TrueCinema technology that promises to scan the environment and a room where we have to recreate the immersive listening experience with headphones.
Additionally, we have a quick button link between Sonos Ace and Sonos soundbars. A few weeks ago, Sonos updated its mobile app to accommodate the launch of its first headphones.
Active noise cancellation couldn’t be missing. Sonos promises a “first-class” experience, as well as an Aware mode in which we can hear voices and the environment. A feature that many other headphones have added a long time ago.
Eight microphones will be responsible for noise reduction and clear voice transmission during calls.
As for the battery, the Sonos Ace has a capacity of 1060 mAh, which promises an autonomy of about 30 hours with active noise cancellation. They promise that thanks to fast charging and a USB-C cable, with just three minutes of charging we can achieve three hours of battery life. It will take about three hours to fully charge. The level of battery life is very high, although in line with what competitors such as Sony Ult Wear offer.
At the communication level we have Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint access along with Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound AptX Lossless and Apple Lossless Audio codecs.
The Sonos Ace also lets you control them using gestures and a customizable action button.
The new Sonos Ace will be available in several markets, including Spain, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, at the official price 499 euros or $449, from June 5 next year.
