A pirated page used by millions of users is a problem. But a network that also gives other pirates the ability to create and run their own illegal websites poses an even bigger problem. Thus, in this case, anti-piracy groups have decided to act decisively.
In a report published after the closure of the pirate site and all its consequences, the authorities They call this site PaaS (Piracy as a service). Or, in other words, a page that, in addition to its classic functions, also served as a springboard allowing interested users to have their own pirate sites without any effort.
The website in question is uhuseries.com, which at the same time was linked to a large number of additional domains such as aplayer.xyz and nunghub.com. Also notable among them is Iamtheme.com, where other pirates were tasked with opening their own websites. Since 2019, they have positioned themselves as one of the top pirate pages in the world, and although they were operated from Thailand, their content was mostly productions originating from Hollywood
.As we have already said, the goal put an end to this pirate network It was double. On the one hand, they found that uhuseries and other domains were accessed by thousands of users not only from Thailand, but also from countries such as the UK and the US. On the other hand, iamtheme.com was primarily a website that created new pirated pages almost instantly.
Users who wanted to start their own pirate website only had to pay $225 to receive a script that they could easily install using the API to get the page up and running in minutes. Thus, pirates benefited not only from advertising revenue from their own pages, but also from these sales. their funds have increased. In doing so, they offered a VIP service as a subscription that would support new pirates with everything they might need, thereby generating even more revenue in exchange for continuing to expand the piracy presence online.
One of the aspects that was noted during the investigation is how, in this type of service, users who started piracy were faced serious security problems. Because they certainly didn’t imagine that those who sold them the script might have ulterior motives when they gained access to their servers. This has led to an increase in crime and to the fact that those people who are lured by the illegal piracy business find themselves in constant danger. Both their data and the data of the people who visited them could be leaked or fall into the hands of hackers to be used at their whim.
The victory over piracy in this case was made possible thanks to the collaboration of ACE (Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment) and TrueVisions. This last entity is the main one cable and television access company this exists in Thailand, which is making every effort to reduce the presence of piracy in its country as much as possible. As in other cases, it is shown that operators and television content providers are not going to sit still as they see the network continue to be filled with piracy.
The battle is still open, and more and more illegal IPTV and pirated pages from all over the world are expected to fall. With the closure of uhuseries.com and Iamtheme.com more than 25 pages dropped
They used the same script to work and thus made it possible to watch copyrighted films for free. But it’s possible that by pulling the thread, it won’t take them long to find more pages that used it. Considering that each of them exceeded a million hits per month, it is clear that their closure is good news for the fight against piracy. This is the film "Markants of the last Cannes Film Festival", which features four actresses:…
