Diplomatic crisis which was not there. Opinion

from rio de janeiro

They ask me to comment on the diplomatic crisis. I ask: what kind of crisis?

This is a crisis created by the media. Lula once again condemned the genocide of Palestinians by Israel. A statement that is now widely accepted by most opinion makers.

Who can remain insensitive to the genocide of Palestinians primarily children and women Palestinian? The most horrifying pictures of this century are of Palestinian children.

I wonder how Israelis can look at these photos, praised by their government minister, and not feel deep guilt for what they are doing, causing dozens or hundreds of deaths every day.

Any human being who is not stigmatized by this genocide, who does not accept to call it genocide, has lost his sensitivity, his humanity. Lula clarified and expressed his outrage at all this. We represent ourselves in it.

However, suddenly the media started creating outrage in the opposite direction. Lula would have insulted the Jews and all their victims. An inaccurate and baseless interpretation served to mobilize the right and extreme rightWhat he likes most: Finding Lula’s possible flaws.

Some have already found the basis for the alleged errors: Lula’s reforms. Irresponsibly, Lula would have started talking about the most serious global conflict of the contemporary world, equating different incidents, insulting the victims and exonerating the culprits.

Another reason for errors would be that Lula was allegedly ignorant of the suffering of the Jews, which would justify genocide perpetrated by Israel.

None of this is appropriate in light of what the Brazilian president actually said. When we analyze what he said, we find out that Lula did not even mention the word Holocaust.

After the initial media onslaught, as the effects reveal their true effects in Brazil and other countries around the world, everything is positive for Lula.

The artificially created nature of a crisis that did not exist is clear. But the media remains firm on the same. Lula’s success as Brazilian president and world leader is intolerable to the right, Lula’s success is the failure of the right and its media.

The media searches for any perceived mistakes by Lula, trying to tarnish his public image and, if successful, affect his governmentality, his ability to lead the country, his reputation, his popular support. .

They live by creating a crisis, then they start interviewing people about this crisis, which they try to make exist, as if it were a real event. This has started being mentioned in the headlines. Well, the crisis exists, the country is in crisis, the government is facing crisis.

Then the first thing that needs to be done is to uncover the perceived crisis and eliminate it. Is the country in crisis? The government is in crisis. Is there a crisis? Which crisis is this?

And, most importantly, what medium is it? What is its role? To inform people? To make people’s conscience? And become the axis of opposition to the government?
