MADRID, June 20 (EUROPE PRESS) –
DS Automobiles wanted to pay tribute to French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry with its new DS 3 model, which will be available from €37,400, the automaker said in a statement.
To mark the 80th anniversary of the pilot’s disappearance during an air flight over the Mediterranean, DS Automobiles wanted to celebrate his literary legacy with a limited edition edition of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
Thus, according to the French company, the writer “is present in all his models with nods and details that refer to his most famous works” and, in particular, the DS 3 will pay tribute to his most famous work, ‘The Little Prince’.
THE FIGURE OF THE FRENCH AUTHOR IS VERY REAL
One of the most notable features of this model is its upholstery, which pays homage to early 20th century airplane seats, a great passion, in addition to literature, for the French writer. This coating is present on both the seats and door panels.
According to DS Automobiles, the figure and work of the author of The Little Prince is present in “many elements”, such as his signature on the dashboard or the drawing of the young protagonist of his novel and the phrase “for travelers, the stars are guides”, which constitutes one of the starting points of his most famous work.
In terms of technology, the French car manufacturer emphasizes that this car has “the latest advances” in terms of driving assistance features, connectivity and artificial intelligence.
This model therefore includes the ADML Proximity opening and starting system as standard, as well as heated seats and navigation linked to the DS Iris system.
Finally, this model offers the possibility of access to sustainable mobility thanks to its 100% electric E-TENSE version and the reduction in emissions provided by the self-charging Hybrid 136 version.
