What is Elden Ring: Shadow of Erdtree?

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is the first and final DLC for the well-known and popular Souls-like game Elden Ring. This DLC was released on June 21st and contains over 40 hours of new content. You go to the dark side of Erdtree, where a new story, new enemies, and much more await you. New features have also been added to make you even stronger as a player.

Elden Ring Patch: Shadow of Erdtree

A few days ago, on July 4, a new Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree patch 1.12.3 was released. This update fixed and improved several issues in the game. Here we will go over the most important changes. If you want to read all the bug fixes, you can do so here, but we will also list the most common errors.

The first change concerns the balance of PvP only. The damage and animation of the skill “Quick Strike” have been reduced.

Next up were some general balance updates. The Carian Sorcery Sword received lower base damage but better intellect scaling. Additionally, the cast range of the Smithscript Dagger and Smithscript Cirque was increased. Finally, the Golden Behemoth and Commander Guy bosses now spawn in the same location during subsequent encounters as they did in the first fight.

Now let’s run through some of the bugs that were fixed:

Fixed an issue where the Rolling Sparks skill was dealing more damage than intended.

Fixed an issue where the Rolling Sparks and Wall of Sparks abilities would not deal damage when the player had certain special effects.

Fixed an issue where Feeble Lord’s Frenzied Flame and Discus Hurl special abilities would activate even when used with the left hand.

Now when you successfully block a hit with the new Push Shield, you lose a little more stamina.

Fixed an issue where Lightning Bolt and Flame of Frenzy perfume bottles dealt double damage.

The Blood Devil’s Hand weapon had excessive secret scaling with certain characteristics.

The Faith scale of the weapon “Watching Finger” was not always applied correctly.

Fixed an issue where the Fire Knight’s Greatsword animation would be different than expected in player vs. player encounters. Additionally, fixed an issue that caused issues with some of the weapon’s attack abilities.

Some stats were too high for the following weapons:

Smithscript Dagger

Smithscript Circus

Smithscript Axe

Smithscript Big Hammer

Blacksmith’s spear

Golem fist

Smithscript Shield

Fixed an issue where the player would take very little damage from the Golden Behemoth boss during unblockable attacks.

Some performance improvements have also been made.
