Emma Roberts joins Madame Web following Dakota Johnson

JAKARTA – Emma Roberts has joined “Madame Web”, the latest film in the Marvel Universe from Sony Entertainment. It follows two previously announced names: Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney.

In addition to these two, they were joined by Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced and Tahar Rahim.

Sony has not revealed which character Roberts will play. On the other hand, this film is his last project on the big screen after Holiday in 2020.

Madame Web is a female character who suffers from myasthenia gravis and uses a respirator to survive. Thanks to his abilities, he is able to predict the future of other superheroes.

He has a power equivalent to Doctor Strange, which is to control minds and predict what will happen in the future.

The heroine of Madame Web will be played by Dakota Johnson. This became his franchise project after 50 Shades of Grey.

Madame Web is the first female superhero adapted by Sony. The character is still linked to Spider-Man, with Sony working on Kraven the Hunter and El Muerto.

Madame Web is a film directed by S. J. Clarkson, who worked on Jessica Jones and The Defenders. And the script was written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, who worked together on Morbius.

Madame Web will reportedly be released on July 7, 2023.
