Sports Interactive has delayed the release of Football Manager 25 again, this time until 2025.
According to a statement released this afternoon, the developer said it has agreed with Sega to delay the game’s release on all platforms until March next year.
The game was originally supposed to come out early this year. Then it was postponed until November 26, and now until March.
“This additional time was not enough to ensure that the quality and experience of the game met your expectations. In a previous blog we explained that we encountered difficulties in developing this part. A lot of things went slower than we had planned, although the whole team worked at an incredible pace to try and complete it.”
“The timeline was already very tight and, as many of your recent comments have noted, we rushed too quickly and risked compromising our usual standards. This has put a lot of pressure on everyone who works at the studio, and they are passionately dedicated to making the best game possible.
“FM25 is the biggest technical and visual breakthrough for the series in the last generation. We can’t jeopardize this defining moment in Football Manager history by rushing to launch in November.”
