(CNN Spanish) — According to the Government of Colombia, this Monday four Colombian soldiers were killed when an army plane crashed at the Binational QT military base in the municipality of Unguía, in the Chocó department, bordering Panama.
The Colombian Army reported on social networks that the publication does not provide further details.
On the same social network, the National Fire Department reported that members of the corporation were traveling to the area “in support of the crash of the Black Hawk helicopter.”
Luis Mauricio Ospina, commander of the Colombian National Army, confirmed this
Ospina noted that “injured military personnel” would also be accompanied by members of the institution, without giving any specific details.
For its part, Panama’s Ministry of Public Security said in a statement that the organization dispatched two helicopters to the scene, which evacuated the “injured” to Panama City.
