Elizabeth Olsen recently received her second Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress – Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television for her starring role in the HBO Max true crime drama Love and Death. She received her first Golden Globe nomination in 2022 in the same category for her lauded role in WandaVision.
Elizabeth Olsen is May-Kate’s little sister, and Ashley Olsen has also been acting since a very young age, including in several of their famous children’s projects. She made her film debut in 2011 in Martha Marcy May Marlene and entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015 in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

On the red carpet, Olsen often chooses—in collaboration with her stylist Elizabeth Stewart—glamorous dresses and elegant, feminine pantsuits paired with classic strappy stilettos or pumps, sometimes with intricate detailing or jewel tones. Her favorite shoe designers include Dior, Sophia Webster, Le Silla, Stuart Weitzman, Jimmy Choo and Miu Miu.
The 2024 Golden Globe Awards take place on January 7, and we’ll have a chance to see what she and the other stylish nominees wear to the red carpet and who takes home the big wins. Ahead of the 81st Golden Globe Awards, FN takes a look back at Olsen’s red carpet shoe style over the years.
At the Love and Death premiere in Los Angeles, Olsen looked romantic in a head-to-toe crimson Givenchy dress. The red leather slingback sandals feature a woven chain strap with the Givenchy logo on the toe, a unique square toe and a 3.75-inch stiletto heel. Her sleeveless silk Givenchy gown featured a high-hemmed skirt that fell at the back and an open back tied with two large bows. She paired it with a matching dark red lip, subtle smokey eye makeup, slicked back hair and no jewelry.
At the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards, the WandaVision star channeled chic It-girl energy in the perfect little black dress and black pointed-toe pumps. The Miu Miu minidress was studded with rhinestones and had long sleeves ending in cream rayon cuffs. She pulled her hair back into a bun with bits of bangs and a bright red lip.
At the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards, Olsen rocked another perfect little black dress and pumps ensemble. This dress features black Christian Louboutin pointed toe pumps and a Alexandre Vauthier velvet mini dress with long sleeves and a plunging neckline. It was also in her bangs, which she wore with multiple layers framing her face and the rest of her hair pulled back into an updo. She accessorized with chandelier earrings and a black rectangular clutch with red trim.
At the Avengers: Infinity War premiere in April 2018, she wore stylish single-strap stiletto sandals and a stunning black Oscar de la Renta strapless jumpsuit with a lace bodice and a stunning side train. She had long and wavy dark brown hair, light makeup, a bright red lip, and no jewelry.
At the Los Angeles premiere of Ingrid Goes West, Olsen and co-star Aubrey Plaza shared a chic twinning moment on the red carpet. The couple wore black satin Sophia Webster “Coco Crystal” pointed-toe pumps with rhinestone-encrusted heels and black Marc Jacobs minidresses adorned with sparkly circles; Plaza in gold and Olsen in silver.
At the European premiere of Captain America: Civil War, Olsen looked like a shining Hollywood starlet in a long white dress. She wore silver thin strap stilettos with a roughly five-inch heel underneath a pre-fall 2016 long-sleeve Alexander McQueen knotted dress. Her hair was dirty brown, wavy, with a dark red lip and very thin chain necklaces.
Olsen presented sleek and chic looks for numerous Avengers: Age of Ultron red carpets, but the London version took over, with a modern take on fashion à la Twiggy. She completed her look with Saint Laurent Spring 2015 black peep-toe tie-up platform pumps. She paired the statement shoes with a high-neck Saint Laurent cape dress with silver and gold sequins around the collar. She wore her blonde hair slicked back, smokey eye makeup, a nude lip and a white mani-pedi.
At the European premiere of the film she stars in, Godzilla, Olsen, 25, looked glamorous and ready for her Hollywood era. She wore navy blue satin strappy heels under a strapless dress with a fitted sequin bodice and long lace and sequin skirt. She wore her dark brown hair in a half updo, dark smoky eyes, and crystal drop earrings.
