Google’s search engine is no longer a search engine, so it launched a “Web” button.

Do you remember when Google search engine was used to find websites? It’s over. Now it only shows what the AI wants you to see.

The Google search engine is no longer a pure search engine., to the annoyance of many users. Therefore, Google wants to empower these users with new and well-hidden web button.

Today, Searching for sites in the Google search engine is almost impossible.. It has essentially become an AI wall displaying the information Google and the AI want you to see. Only if you scroll down the list of results for a while will you discover the missing web page.

Try any search. But don’t expect a list of websites to appear first. At least with most results. And the AI Review tool has not yet arrived in Spain.

Google search engine web button

Depending on what you ask Google, you’ll first see a list of Google’s favorite news stories, a collection of videos, Google Maps locations, soccer results, and a collection of Q&A tweets. . Everything except the list of websites.

Many people don’t like this type of content imposed by AI or Google. Firstly, because This is a filtered and curated selection and not a search result.. And secondly, because often the only thing you need is not the latest news, the most famous videos and frequently asked questions, but just something simple and classic, e.g. list of websites.

Google was the first to realize this, and here’s why added a web button to the search engine. But it’s conveniently hidden:

Once you have completed the search, you will need to go to the top bar below the search field, click on the button Further

and then in Internet.

Only then will Google become the classic search engine we’ve been using for 20 years and offer a list of websites.

Web search is no longer the default option.. Here you can see the difference in results when searching for “Real Valladolid” by default (left) and when clicking the web button (right):

Computer today

It’s likely that one day you’ll be interested in searching for match results and another in websites, but the important thing here is that the classic search engine feature – website search – is no longer the default feature.

This differentiation will increase in the coming months.as Google integrates artificial intelligence features announced at Google I/O 2024.

Google lets you choose between two options, but does not allow default web search. If you want to use it, you will have to click the hidden Web button every time.

Google search engine dominates the market with over 90% usage and there are not many alternatives. Microsoft is doing something similar with Bing. All that remains is to resort to DuckDuckGo and the like.

Today marks the final death of Twitter and, in a sense, We can witness the death of seekers as we know them.. Searching sites is no longer fashionable. Let AI recommend what you need to see, explore, read and buy.
