Here are the dire consequences for the Earth

The Moon, the only satellite of the Earth, is becoming smaller over the years. According to researchers, Over the past few million years, the Moon has shrunk by about 45 meters in circumference as it cools, which could have dire consequences for our planet in the next few million years.

Composed mostly of rock and dust and lacking significant atmosphere, its surface is covered with craters, mountains, plains and depressions. It itself plays an important role in stabilizing the tilt of the Earth’s rotation axis, which It contributes to the stability of our planet’s climate and also provides a vital tidal force on ocean tides.

Many missions have been launched to the Moon to study the moon. SLIM, first mission Japan reached its goal on the surface of the moon last Fridaybut the ship’s solar panels are unable to generate enough electricity after landing. But also the USA, Russia and China, and recently India, have reached the Moon.

As a result, its surface wrinkled and caved in like the skin of a nut, and thus fractures formed on the Moon where its surface was deformed, which could jeopardize future missions there.

The size of the Moon is smaller: what would happen on Earth if this satellite did not exist?

This is partly due to moonquakesThis is stated in an article in The Planetary Science Journal. Moonquakes, which can last much longer than earthquakes and often last several hours, are caused by earthquake-like mechanisms as crustal faults sliding against each other.

If such an earthquake were to hit a lunar settlement, it could damage structures and equipment and cause landslides that could be catastrophic. Researchers hope to continue studying how the Moon’s faults may affect its seismicity and how they might affect future lunar missions.

Among the consequences this could have for planet Earth is the disappearance of tides as we know them. The gravitational force of the Moon’s attraction to the Earth deforms the Earth’s crust, causing cyclic fluctuations in the sea. If it were completely lost, they would disappear completely, and as it decreases, the number of tides also decreases.

If there were no Moon, the nights would be completely dark, eclipses would disappear and the Earth would lose stability, which would give rise to significant climate changes, with temperatures above one hundred degrees and winters at eighty below zero. People’s biorhythms will also be changed.
