According to reports, Israel launched a missile attack against Iran this Friday morning (local time).
American channel ABC reported that an official from that country told it that an Israeli missile had targeted Iran, and two American officials confirmed this to BBC affiliate CBS.
According to state media, three loud explosions were heard in Isfahan, located in the center of the country.
Iran’s Fars news agency reported the explosion near the city’s airport.
Isfahan province is home to a large airport, a major missile production complex, and several nuclear sites.,
The country’s air defense systems have been activated in several provinces, state news agency IRNA reported.
IRNA claimed that the country had fired its “air defense batteries”.
“The blasts were the result of loud noises heard in several areas of the country,” Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB said, citing “reliable sources”. Activation of air defense to counter numerous unidentified mini-drones

The attack comes five days after Iran launched an offensive against Israel with drones and missiles, which the country repelled with its Iron Dome anti-missile defense system.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned on Wednesday that Israel would face a “massive and harsh” response to “even the smallest aggression.”
