it seems like it’s from the future

As if it were the Death Star, a YouTuber has developed a laser beam that can kill the mosquitoes that hide in your home at night. Although this also works for any type of flying insect. Faced with traditional means that did not help him, he chose another, much more dangerous, but also more interesting to develop: the death ray.

Laser beam to kill mosquitoes

YouTuber Allen Pal, quite famous in the Anglo-Saxon sphere, had a very serious problem with mosquitoes in his house. One could assume that it was complete plague. So he gathered courage and patience and began to explore how could destroy them with laser weapons. The result was fantastic, as we will see, but before that it had to go through a series of vicissitudes that made achieving success with its prototype problematic.

It was primarily based on a video of a TED talk with the intention of imitating it. At the same time, the scientist argued that was able to kill mosquitoes using a mechanical training app who identified and eliminated them. However, when Allen tried to train his AI, it mistook mosquitoes for airplanes, which resembled China’s secret weapon but rendered it inoperable. So he had to choose a much more prosaic solution – modifying the racket to create a series of lasers that kill mosquitoes.

Having overcome some problems in development, he decided to enlist the help of friends. experts in this type of technology and finally they were able to move it forward, improving it to solve all the problems at hand. So the aesthetic part of it continued to remind us of a racquet, but the prototype was refined to the point where they were abandoned to create a racquet of their own. basis that would allow it to be used no problems when reflecting lasers in mirrors.

At the end of the video you can see how do mosquitoes get trapped?. The laser seems to work effectively in burning and removing them. simple. Although it’s a little difficult at first find equipment, they later dominate him until many of them fall into his traps. This is an ineffective tactic because all indications are that it is quite costly. But it’s still a very interesting bet on the spread of science and how laser beams work in the modern world. Something that we have been able to test firsthand thanks to laser engravers, which show that this technology is becoming more and more developed.

To sum it up:

  • Allen Pan is a YouTuber who had problems with mosquitoes at home.
  • In a humorous manner, he decides to implement a very fun project: a laser weapon against mosquitoes.
  • He tried to create autonomous AI weapons, but mistook mosquitoes for airplanes.
  • He thought it wouldn’t work, but after a few concepts, he turned to two friends for support and they developed a prototype that seemed to solve some of the problems.
  • The end result is a kind of laser racket that burns anything that passes through it.
  • In the test, you can see how the mission is successful and the mosquitoes are destroyed by Allen and his friends.
