“It’s more than you can imagine”
Production on Avatar 3 will continue next month.
Sam Worthington, who plays Jake Sully alongside Zoe Saldana as Neytiri in the epic fantasy franchise, provided important information that production is set to resume in February ahead of the film’s planned 2025 release.
“We’ll be back working on this in a month, and that’s very important. It’s more than you can imagine,” he told People magazine.
It’s unclear what work is still underway, but the 47-year-old star clearly expects big things from the film.
Director James Cameron recently confirmed plans to spend two years in post-production on Avatar 3, although he still plans to launch it by the end of next year.

Avatar 4 will be released four years later, and Avatar 5 is expected on the same day in 2031, a full 22 years after the first film’s release in 2009.
Worthington will be 55 in the latest film, and Saldana has previously expressed concern about how old she will be.
The 45-year-old actress wrote on her Instagram Story over the summer: “Great! I’ll be 53 when the last Avatar comes out (shocked face emoji).
“I was 27 when I made the very first Avatar.
