Joaquin Gonzalez gives way to Jose Manuel Ferreño

For the first 13 years he was director of Savengo and for the next 25 years general director of Vegalsa-Eroski, which claims to be the leader in food distribution in Galicia and is also present in the communities of Asturias and Castile and León.

The growth began with the location of its headquarters in the industrial zone of A Grela (A Coruña), where it continues to this day. Vegalsa-Eroski, with a market share of 21% in Galicia, has 285 owned and franchised establishments under the brands Hipermercados y Gasolineras Eroski, Eroski Center, Autoservicios Familia, Cash Record, Eroski City, Aliprox and Eroski Rapid. In addition, Vegalsa-Eroski’s Cash Record self-service division has 17 centers evenly distributed between Galicia and Asturias. In 2022, the group’s turnover was 1.363 million euros, an increase of 12%.
