JOSE LUIS SOLER UBESOL | José Luis Soler, owner of Ubesol and promoter of the Bombas Gens art center, has died.

Businessman and art collector Jose Luis Soler Vila, co-owner of Ubesol died at the age of 68. Together with Susana Lloret in September 2014 they created Foundation for the Love of Art and they purchased the abandoned Bombas Hidráulicas Carlos Gens factory to transform it into the Bombas Gens Arts Center, where his personal art collection was exhibited. After almost two years of rehabilitation, Bombas Gens opened its doors in July 2017. In 2019, Soler suffered a brain stroke and his life changed dramatically. Years later began the decline of the art center, which in January changed its philosophy and became the Bombas Gens Center for Digital Arts.

Jose Luis Soler was son of Ubesol co-founder Jose Maria Soler Aceswho, together with businessman Jorge Eduardo Ubeda, created a company that is currently a leader in production textile products for home cleaning and personal hygiene products. It was in 2000 that Soler Jr. took over from his father to renew the company’s success with a new business. In 2006, Grupo Ubesol was formed, which today has more than a thousand employees with sales of approximately 300 million euros. Mercadona is among its main clients.

As of 2021, the current President of the Board of Directors of the Ubesol Group is his son José Manuel Soler. In its statement, the company called it “charismatic businessman from Valencia, This leaves an indelible mark on both a professional and human level. All of us who are part of Grupo Ubesol will always remember him with respect, love and great admiration.

The company and Soler’s family, in a statement, “regret with deep sadness” his death and stressed that the businessman combined “his exceptional professionalism and entrepreneurial character” with a “deep sense of responsibility to society.”

In this sense, they emphasized that the creation in 2014 of the Fundació Per Amor a l’Art together with his wife Susana Lloret”responded to a desire to improve the lives of children and young people at risk of social isolation, promote Wilson’s disease research and share his deep love of the arts.”.

Moreover, they appreciated that Soler’s “great work in life” forms a “valuable legacy for all” which, they assured, “will continue to bear fruit in the future.” The remains of José Luis Soler remain in the Albaida Funeral Home and the funeral service will be served tomorrow Sunday, at 11.00, in the parish of Aceneta d’Albaidabefore his burial in the municipal cemetery of the same city.
