Since May 2024, when observations began, there have been reports in Italy 2 confirmed cases of West Nile virus, 1 of indigenous origin, were reported on June 26 in Emilia Romagna in the province Modenawho showed neuroinvasive symptoms. Another case was imported from Oman. No deaths were reported.
