The trial against Rodolfo Sancho’s son ended last Thursday in Thailand after four intense weeks, with more than 35 witnesses appearing in court. The sentence is yet to be decided, which will be made public on August 29, but the controversy continues. The reason? Daniel Sancho reportedly received favorable treatment in the prison where he entered on August 7. This has been told by the victim’s lawyer Edwin Arrieta, who has pointed this out not only to the Thai authorities but also to the Spanish Embassy. This Friday, prisoners who share imprisonment with the Spanish chef spoke out: “He handles a lot of money here.”
The sister of one of Daniel’s colleagues told this to a Mediaset reporter. He is one of the Spaniard’s closest prisoners. They share space in the hospital and even spend the night together, as the son of Plastic C’s protagonist fakes a back injury to avoid having to step into a cell like the rest of the prisoners. “Sancho manages to make so much money in prison that on New Year’s Eve he invited all his nursing colleagues to eat good food at dinner”, In fact, he hasn’t tried the prison menu: “He always eats food that he orders from outside or from a special menu inside the prison. Finally, he claims that Spanish embassy staff visit him regularly when his family is not in Thailand: “This does not happen to any other Spanish prisoner,” he explains.

Edwin Arrieta’s sister spoke for the Telecinco program this Friday. Once the trial ended, and despite everything indicating that the sentence would be very favorable to Daniel, Darling maintained faith: “I believe that justice will be served on August 29.”
