Lil Nas X appears to continue joking about his Christian faith despite claiming otherwise.
On Tuesday (Jan. 9), the Baby of Industry star took to Instagram to share a photo of his acceptance letter to Liberty University, where he will be double majoring in Christian Leadership and Biblical Studies starting in the fall. “I know some of you hate me right now, but I want you to know that I am literally going to college for Bible study in the fall. Not everyone is a troll! Anyway, I’M A STUDENT AGAIN! LET’S GO,” I captioned the post, which you can view here.
Lil Nas has a new gospel song coming out Friday (January 12) called “J CHRIST.” In his announcement earlier this week, the musician shared the cover art, which shows him taking the place of Jesus on the crucifixion as five bystanders begin to lift him from the ground. The second video clip shows him being nailed to a golden cross, which suddenly turns into a mechanical suit with a halo. “MY NEW SING IS DEDICATED TO THE MAN WHO HAD THE GREATEST COMEBACK OF ALL TIME,” Lil Nas wrote in his announcement.
In a series of increasingly ridiculous clips, Lil Nas also claimed he was being “banned from releasing music in 2023” after he “promoted God to the masses,” claimed the music industry was “evil” and threatened to “expose y’all.” . “Favorite Artists” In another clip, the “That’s What I Want” singer also stood next to two police officers in front of a police car with its lights flashing. “Staying at the police department 24/7 for the next 5 days before I expose the music industry for what they did to me,” he wrote. “Evil will not stop what God intends.”
