The first game of the Final Series of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League will bring together the Leones del Caracas and the Tiburones de La Guaira at the University Stadium in the Venezuelan capital, a venue where the decisive duels for the conquest of the title will take place.

The long-haired want the twenty-first championship in their history, the eighteenth since they adopted their current name and the first since the 2009/2010 campaign, when they defeated their eternal rivals: the Navegantes del Magallanes. For their part, the sharks want to win their eighth star and break their 37-year drought without being crowned in Venezuelan professional baseball.

This will be the first final between both teams since 1987, when the cats swept the coast in four games. From, we will be monitoring inning for inning of the first meeting between salty and capital, where Ramón García Jr (1.38) and Jhoulys Chacín (4.50) will be the starting pitchers.
